When Vrest Orton opened The Vermont Country Store in 1946, a storekeeper was a friend, merchandise was useful, worked, and made sense, and a country store was stocked to the rafters with hard-to-find goods. That’s all still true in our store in Rockingham, Vermont, which opened in 1967 and is filled with fun and practical items sure to excite and delight folks of all ages. The Vermont Country Store is an experience you won’t find anywhere else. Celebrating our 65th Anniversary this year as the Orton Family-owned business!
