Comfort & convenience are a cottage industry at this lakeside inn
Modern and rustic elements combine in the eight cottages of the WilloughVale Inn and Cottages by the shores of scenic Lake Willoughby. Sweeping views of the lake and mountains distinguish all the cottages, which also have fireplaces for that tough of romance. Other features to choose from include private decks, Jacuzzis, screened porches, hand-crafted rustic Vermont furniture and private docks. You’ll be close enough to the lake to take out a canoe or kayak (or cross-country skis or snowshoes in the winter). Hike (or snowmobile) on a lakeside trail. Or go farther afield from your cozy cottage and tour a brewery or maple sugarhouse, take in a fair, visit a farm or museum, enjoy a 5-acre corn maze, or be amazed gazing from a planetarium.

Don't worry - you can't overdose on tranquility or fun
Our summer cottages offer tranquil relaxation, yet there's so much active, physical fun here, too. We can't explain it. Basin Harbor's got more than 70 cottages spread out over the resort's 700 lakeside acres in Vergennes, and each has a personality all its own. You'll find studios, one, two, or three bedroom cottages. Some accommodate up to eight people - perfect for a trip with the whole family. All feature classic decor, screened in porches or decks, close proximity to dining and activities, and views of Lake Champlain, gardens, or golf course. Our cottages are equipped with coffee makers and refrigerators. It's just a short walk to all of our restaurants - the Main Dining Room, The Red Mill Restaurant, or the North Dock - all using fresh and local ingredients, some from our own Fresh Food Farm.

Cottages Pamper You With Private Beach, Docks, Resort Access
Banish memories of Grandma’s cottage of banging screen door and moldy Reader’s Digests. The Cottages of Lake Morey more resemble lakeside chalets, where guests can spread out among many bedrooms and common areas, lounge on a wraparound porch looking out on the lake, and motor or paddle off from a private dock. At 3,200 square feet, Wapanachee Cottage, with a large fireplace, accommodates 12 guests, and offers a one-bedroom efficiency apartment. The two 2,500-square-foot Denslow Cottages share a private beach and dock, and each has a private terrace with impeccable landscaping. Lakeside Cottage sleeps four, and, like the others, has a full kitchen. Cottage guests have full privileges at the adjacent Lake Morey Resort; July and August weekly rentals include one round of golf per person, per day.
