There are several ways to explore the scenic 600-acre lake at the center of the Lake Morey Resort’s many activities for guests. But one of the most popular is to glide through the water on one of the resort’s kayaks, canoes or stand-up paddle boards. Grab one at the boathouse down by the lake and set off on your adventure. (You can also go on a guided pontoon boat tour.) Plan your day on the water in your spacious room, suite or private cottage, most with lovely lake views and all with the modern amenities you’d expect from a great resort. There’s an indoor pool, sauna, billiards and card room. Outdoor activities include tennis, basketball, pickle ball, bocce and lawn games.

Waterbury Center State Park lies on a 90-acre peninsula on Waterbury Reservoir. Visitors may use the reservoir for fishing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, motor boating, jet skis, and water skiing. Branbury State Park is located on the eastern shore of Lake Dunmore. The park has a long sand beach on Lake Dunmore and the large open meadows. The park is popular for swimming, sunbathing, fishing and boating. Rowboats, canoes, and paddle boats are available for rent. Pets are not allowed on the beach.

There are two sandy beaches on the pond for swimming and sunning; rowboats, kayaks, canoes and pedal boats are available for rent (no motor boats allowed). The pond also has excellent fishing for largemouth bass, panfish, and perch. More fishing is at nearby Glen Lake and Lake Bomoseen.
