Created by the legendary designer Bob Cupp, with the help of Mother Nature, this true wilderness course winds gently around the sparkling Peregrine Lake and mountain streams. A magnificent stand of New England hardwood, pine and birch trees line many of the fairways. The dramatic elevation gain (400'+) throughout the course allows for sweeping views of the surrounding ski slopes and Little River Valley below.
A role model for sustainable development and environmental protection, the course is surrounded by 2,000 protected acres of pristine conservation land and is the first in Vermont to achieve Audubon International Signature Sanctuary certification. Environmental initiatives include the creation of a 111-million gallon body of water, called Peregrine Lake, for state-of-the-art course irrigation.

Originally built in 1927 by the legendary Walter J. Travis, Gleneagles was restored by American golf-course architect Rees Jones in 1992. Following Travis's original routing and the course's rustic Scottish flavor, the new course meets modern standards with an environmentally friendly approach. Named after its famous sister resort in Scotland, Gleneagles is a par 71, 6,423-yard course with challenging play on every fairway, sand trap, and green. Course statistics of each hole are available online. Unlimited Golf is back at The Equinox. Guests of The Equinox may make tee times upon confirming their hotel reservation, while the visiting public may make tee times no more than seven days prior to date of play. Soft spikes are required, and lessons are available.
