An Inn for All Seasons
The Inn, which is celebrating its 175th anniversary in 2008, began instituting environmentally friendly practices in the mid-1990s. The classic resort, ideally situated in the heart of Stowe Village has 104 unique rooms, suites and apartments offering the perfect blend of elegance and modern comfort - many feature canopy beds, fireside Jacuzzis and other amenities. Guests can do their part to conserve energy by reusing towels, linens and turning off lights when not in use.
To reduce transportation costs and support local infrastructures, the Inn’s two restaurants use local products from farms, ranches, breweries and cheese companies. The goal is to reduce transportation costs and support local infrastructures. Implementing practices as recycling, composting and changing to energy efficient light bulbs are simple steps and we are now looking at what else we can do to reduce our energy consumption and educate our staff and guests on why we think this is so important.
