Do you want to know more about your antiques and collectibles? Bring in your treasures during Art in the Snow and antiques dealer Joel Mondlak of Antiques By The Falls will provide a verbal appraisal. Mondlak has been studying antiques for more than 25 years and has a vast knowledge of them.

During Art in the Snow, Brandon Music will feature original art by Ruth Hamilton in the gallery. The Harmony English Tea Room, located at Brandon Music, is an English-style tearoom and music café created to blend authentic British traditions with the unique ambience of the lovely barn.

A lot of science goes into creating a recipe that yields the best flavor of beer for the variety of palates needing to be satisfied. This evening will turn a neophyte beer drinker into a near-master brewer, or at the very least, teach us to appreciate the nuances of a good malt beverage. ECHO's After Dark FeBREWary event will have presenters from Northeastern University; University of Vermont; and Vermont Home Brew Supply. Classic pub games will also be featured. While often viewed by the outside world in the shadow of that other great New Jersey band leader, Bruce Springsteen, Southside Johnny Lyon is near royalty to Jersey-ites and has created a legacy of great soul-influenced rock spanning three decades. Johnny teamed with friend “Miami” Steve Van Zandt to form the Asbury Jukes in the mid-70s, creating a talented group that included both killer rhythm and horn sections.

Hot Mustard features April Hobart, a guitarist and lifelong bluegrass singer teamed up with singer/fiddler/banjo picker Bill Jubett, forming a classic duet. When banjo picker Bruce Stockwell, 40-year vet, Merlefest contest winner along with wife/bassist Kelly Stockwell joined, the duet grew to form a quartet. Come and hear the spicy bluegrass music this quartet produces.

The Turtle Island Quartet has earned rave reviews for its jazzy take on traditional chamber music and their classical take on traditional jazz. Over the course of his career, Leon Redbone has continued his love affair with tunes from the turn-of-the-last century, flapper era radio ditties, Depression-era ragtime, and World War II folk-jazz. Redbone’s career first gained momentum in the early 70s when Bob Dylan sought him out at the Mariposa Folk Festival. Many were introduced to the man and his music on Saturday Night Live in 1976 where he showcased his indelible version of “Walkin’ Stick.”

The original version of The Beaux’ Stratagem, written by George Farquhar, was first performed in London in 1709. It was later adapted by Thornton Wilder in 1939. Located at Maple View Farm, the Vermont Fiber Mill & Studio uses alpaca fiber to create a variety of products from roving to felt to yarn. During Art in the Snow, Debbie will demonstrate felting techniques on the FeltLOOM, a unique piece of equipment used to create felted fabric and objects from carded fiber.
