Newport Halloween Monster Bash 2017 - Newport, VT

Mummies, boos and ghouls: creep over to Newport for tricks, treats, games, and activities for the whole family. Ghost Walk Parade and Costume Contest starts at 12:30 p.m. from the Great Pumpkin gazebo near Gardner Park.
Trick-or-Treating & Wagon Rides. Merchants on Main Street will be handing our sweets, a game or craft. Hay wagon rides pick up periodically at the Municipal Building parking lot for free loops around the waterfront.
After the costume parade, come to Newport Municipal Gym for the Halloween Carnival. Play Monster Match, Witch Pitch and Give Frank a Heart. Most activities are geared toward children age 3-10.
At the Haunted House, chilling acting and creative set design transform the Gardner Park skate shack into the most disturbing place in Newport. For people over 12 years old.
For the younger crowd, check out the Haunted Hallways at the Emory Hebard State Building from 1 to 3 p.m. Move from classroom to classroom; knock on the door and find a different surprise every time.

Halloween Express Train Ride - Burlington, VT

This kid- focusedevent features a pre-boarding Halloween party at the ECHO Center one hour before your train ride . This is not a haunted or scary Halloween event. After the party, enjoy a spirited 60-minute train ride to Shelburne and back featuring Halloween story time with a cookie and juice for each child, popular costumed characters, a small goodie bag. Costumes are encouraged. All ages welcome. Schedule and tickets.

It's a Dinner to Die For on Saturday. Guests are invited to dress up and pack their inner Miss Marples and Sherlocks. A feast and interactive murder mystery unfolds through the courses of the meal. Follow a cast of actors through the 1902 Wilburton mansion. Dinner is open to the public as well as guests of the Inn. Sunday morning after breakfast is a Broadway sing-along.
